My first
"Big Goal", get heart healthy and run in my first 5km race
on May 24, 2008.
My next "Big
Goal", continue my daily running and get my weight down to 180
lbs.
Starting Weight May 3,
2008 203lbs Current Weight October 8, 2008
181lbs
My "Big
Goal" moment of clarity "I am going to run every day so that
I will feel physically fit every day for the rest of my
life."
My "Daily
Goal" is to train by running 5km 5 days a week.
My "New
Daily Goal" is to run a minimum of 6km 5 times a
week.
OK, I am
running 7km every day because I found some great routes that just
happen to be 7km so "my new daily goal" is to run a minimum
of 7km 5 times a week. I usually run 7 - 8km Monday to
Thursday, take Friday off and run 15 - 20km on Saturdays. I look
forward to Saturdays because I try to take a different route each
time to see new things and it has really become an enjoyable run.
If I am away on the weekends, I use Mapmyrun to map my route.
The great thing
about setting goals is once you have achieved them, its up to you
if you want to stay at that level or push yourself a little bit
more...either way you win.

I will
finish what I started. I will achieve my
goals.
Below you can
read my daily training blog detailing the mental battles I had with
myself on my road to becoming a winner and achieving my goals over
my first 30 days. I will be posting weekly blogs after
the first 30 days so you can share in my personal success and
revelations on my way to becoming heart healthy.
